In mice and hemoglobin-hit microglia, an LA to lysophosphatidylglycerol 16:0 to PPAR-delta path is proposed to stabilize a noncanonical mitochondrial PPAR-beta/delta, tether lipid droplets to mitochondria, and ease microglial failure.
