Mito.news provides (1) free HTML importance briefs about mitochondria-related preprints for human readers, and (2) paid structured JSON for automated agents via the x402 protocol (USDC on Base). Preprint PDFs remain under their original licenses and hosts (bioRxiv / medRxiv / Europe PMC).

Acceptable use

• Do not abuse free HTML to bypass paid agent APIs at scale.
• Respect rate limits and robots guidance in /llms.txt.
• Do not attempt to breach the operator console or inject malware.
• Do not use the service for unlawful activity.

Payments

Agent endpoints may return HTTP 402 until a valid x402 payment is presented. Settlements are irreversible once confirmed on-chain. Prices are shown on discovery surfaces and may change.

Intellectual property

Mito.news importance articles and site UI are provided by the operator. Source preprint text and metadata remain with their authors and publishers. Do not scrape or republish paid JSON in ways that defeat the payment model.
